Let Snow Baby... Let it Reindeer...

'Tis the season everyone! I was listening to some holiday tunes and this album (Let it Snow Baby... Let it Reindeer by Relient K) cycled through my playlist! I had forgotten about it, but I chuckled when I read the album title! The song "I Celebrate the Day" came on and I was still giggling a little bit until I heard these words,

And the first time
That You opened Your eyes did You realize
that You would be my Savior
And the first breath that left Your lips
Did You know that it would change this world forever.

I love these words! I love that our savior loved us so much that He came to live with us, to experience everything we experience, to love like we love, to hurt like we hurt, to cry like we cry, to laugh like we laugh, to live like... no wait, He was totally unlike us! And I can;t thank Him enough for that! This season, when you think of the little baby lying in a manger, remember that His birth ultimately meant His death. But that death ultimately meant our salvation!

And I really do wonder... when He first opened his eyes for the first time, did He realize that He would be my Savior?
